Graduate Research Assistant, Curriculum Studies
In the appointment of Research Assistant, your general duties and responsibilities will be:
- Conducting a literature review of approaches, strategies and challenges to climate change education in the context of K-12 social studies education and teacher education research:
- Using the Zotero reference manager to compile and share the literature
- Creating an excel database of relevant findings organized by theme
- Creating an executive summary of themes; synthesizing and writing up findings
- Conducting a literature review of the role of affect and emotions in teaching about climate change:
- Using the Zotero reference manager to compile and share the literature

Your general location of work will be remote/online and you will report to Dr. Kim Edmondson.
Required Number of Hours: 10 hours per week for 13 weeks.
Duration of Employment: February 1 – April 30, 2026 (start date negotiable).
Qualifications (Skills and Abilities)
Bachelor of Education or experience in related field. Experience with research methods, literature reviews, and data entry. Knowledge and understanding of social issues in education. Experience with social studies education, climate change education, and/or environmental education would be considered assets.
You must be registered in a graduate program.
